Jonathan concentrates his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, patentability and freedom to practice analysis, and licensing. Since 1998 Jonathan has dealt with hundreds of patent applications for clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to small businesses to individual inventors.
Examples of technologies Jonathan has worked with include gas turbine engines and related technologies, medical products, computer software, consumer products, electrical equipment, piping and valving, agricultural equipment, and aircraft seating. Jonathan holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Prior to co-founding Trego, Hines & Ladenheim, PLLC, Jonathan practiced law in the corporate environment as well as at large and small private law firms. Jonathan is an active public speaker, regularly addressing groups of students, paralegals, and inventors to educate them about patents and intellectual property.
